France’s ARTE Concert Festival joined forces with La Gaîté Lyrique and La Blogothèque in November 2020 to showcase a series of live and archive performances from artists including Sébastien Tellier, Ichon, P.R2B, Yelle and, making their stage debut, Lous and the Yakuza and Prüdence.
Tellier created a new show especially for the online Festival, performing live from the Great Hall, while Prüdence, Ichon and P.R2B broadcast from La Gaîté Lyrique’s Historic Foyer.
The artists performed without an audience due to COVID-19 restrictions, but production values remained high, with lighting designer, Pierre Claude, highlighting his beautiful designs with haze and fog from MDG generators.
One MDG ATMe haze generator, supplied by MPM, was used in the Great Hall and one MAX 3000 fog generator, owned by La Gaîté Lyrique, provided the atmosphere in the Historic Foyer. “MDG is the only authorised brand in this listed venue,” states Claude who is the recipient of the LDI 2020 Design Achievement Award for his work with Gesaffelstein's Requiem Tour. “The MDG machines are fabulous appliances!”
